Customization

As the groom, you are the focus of the day and your suit will be the most photographed item of clothing you will ever wear. A bespoke suit is not a luxury, but a logical step: perfectly tailored to your figure, your posture, and the atmosphere of the day. Delivery time is eight to twelve weeks.

A good suit from the collection

As a witness or male guest, you want to look elegant without outshining the groom. A good suit from our Italian collection, possibly supplemented with matching accessories, is the right approach. At OGÉR, we coordinate combinations directly.

color and fit

Choosing the suit: colour, fit and fabric

Navy blue is the most versatile choice: timeless, elegant and suitable for any time of day. Anthracite and dark green are excellent alternatives for an autumn or winter wedding. The cut is a personal choice: a slim-fit two-piece suit is the best choice for most men, while a three-piece suit with a waistcoat adds extra formal elegance.

With custom-made garments, the choice is entirely yours: fabric, colour, buttons, lining and details can all be discussed during the initial consultation with our customisation specialist.

spring

Light grey or soft green

Light shades that complement blossoms and natural light. Lightweight wool or wool-linen blend.

summer

Taupe, beige or navy blue

Light colors for outdoor weddings. Wool-linen for maximum wearability.

autumn

Anthracite or dark blue

Rich, warm colours for a church or castle. Heavier wool fabric that provides warmth.

Winter

Navy blue or dark green

Deep colors that look beautiful in evening light. Heavier wool that retains its shape.

accessories

finishing the suit

The shirt is preferably white or off-white: timeless, photogenic and always correct. The tie is silk in a muted colour that matches the suit. A bow tie gives a more formal and evening effect. The pocket square is white linen or silk.

The shoes are leather in black or dark brown: a highly polished Oxford or Derby is always correct. At OGÉR we stock shirts from our own OGÉR label and Fray, made from fine Egyptian cotton.

What are you not wearing

The rules that matter

A wedding day calls for intentional clothing choices. Avoid a poorly fitting suit, a shirt without a tie at a formal occasion, or unpolished shoes. Also avoid overly striking accessories, bright colors, or a suit that doesn't match the style of the day. On your wedding day, you want the attention to be on who you are, not on what you're wearing.

Frequently asked questions about the wedding suit

For custom-made items, we recommend a minimum of six months: eight to twelve weeks for production plus several fitting appointments. For off-the-rack, two to three months before the wedding date is sufficient.

Autumn and winter: navy, charcoal, or dark green in a heavier weave. Spring and summer: light grey, taupe, or beige in a lightweight wool or linen-wool blend.

An appointment at OGÉR doesn't start with suits, but with a conversation. We ask about the date, the location, the atmosphere of the day, and what you personally consider important about your appearance. Only then do we look at fabrics, colours, and cut together. If you opt for custom-made, our specialist will take all measurements and we will discuss the details of the suit: lining, buttons, pockets, and all other elements that make a difference. You leave the appointment with a clear understanding of the process, the delivery time, and what you can expect on the wedding day itself.

With ready-to-wear, you choose a suit from our collection which can then be altered by a tailor if necessary. With custom-made, the suit is built entirely to your body with multiple fittings and complete freedom in fabric, color, and details.

A witness does not have to be dressed identically to the groom. The most common approach is a complementary color or the same color in a different fabric. At OGÉR, we guide the groom and witness together and coordinate combinations directly.
