Loro Piana's history

Loro Piana was founded in 1924 by an Italian family from the village of Trivero, which is located on the Italian Alps. The family started trading woolen fabrics. After 1950 the family moved to Valsea and founded the Lanificio Lora e Compagnia, led by Lanificio di Quarona di Zignone & C. Soon Franco Loro Piana started exporting fine fabrics. The rest of the family joined the company's ongoing business in the 1970s.

Unique materials
